In this final blog post we had to choose a topic and talk about the topic and how it connects to Information Technology.
The topic that I chose was Web/mobile apps. The reason I chose this is because of my future
with Psychology. The Information Technology side of things is interesting to how applications
are made which is something that interests me. I have always wanted to make a mobile app or aweb app as well. There are many different applications and web applications that can be used for
therapy and for a business that I will be hoping to open and operate. Web and mobile
applications can be so valuable in helping create a smooth-running service for making
appointments, scheduling appointments, payment, and more for a business. So, the question I wish to get answered is: do I need to make my own application or is there an application that will help me provide the care I wish to provide easily?
That is what my week three assignment was what I learned since then and how it relates to Information Technology. Web and Mobile applications are so ingrained into our experiences with computers and phones and Information technology starting with. Each one is designed and programmed for certain functionality to improve a user's experience with the device. To search the internet, we need an application to do so, Google Chrome to Opera GX each has its preferred user and functionality. But it is required to go to websites and browse websites. Mobile applications work the same with functionality of voice calls, texting, and playing games. It took someone hours of programming and debugging to make the applications we use every day, to be able to read this blog and write this blog. Creating an application is something that can be complicated to simple, it is all about what functions you want it to have. We all have a calculator app on our phone or computer, unlike what pre-cellphone era teachers would say, you need to learn how to do this math because you will not always have access to a calculator. Well, those teachers were wrong with what they said. Now even though an application can be simple or complex the requirements for running the application need to be met. A game requiring more RAM, a better Graphics card, or a better CPU. When I need to find out if my PC can run something I always use https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri this site looks at your computer and sees what you can run for games, how well it can, and what you might need to upgrade to do so. I have used this website a lot of times for myself and for friends to ensure a smooth experience or an experience at all. Applications both web and mobile are the ultimate tools for being able to do anything from logging information, taking notes, budgeting and more. If you have something you wanna do there is probably an app for that specific thing. I have seen people have accessibility issues with computers and phones. These individuals could be impaired in a manor blind, deaf, mute, and more there are ways in which a simple application can breach a barrier that seemed to be impossible to get past. The question That I set out to answer I have found a few applications that can be useful in my efforts, better help, Zoom, Excel, and one that I am found out earlier this week Govenda. I have a lot of things I wish to do and create one day to better help my customers in the future and my future employees. This class has taught me a lot the functionality of Web applications and Mobile applications along with how they are made, how they help accessibility for users, and much more.
